Frontierland Bronze Figurine - Larry Nikolai

Paddling his canoe on the Rivers of America, Goofy the trailblazer is dressed in buckskins and coonskin cap like his hero, Davy Crockett. High on the riverbank sits Fort Wilderness, the last outpost of civilization on a journey into the American West.

For this figurine, Imagineering artist Larry Nikolai has chosen to portray one of the most enduring of Disneyland park attractions, the davy Crockett Explorer Canoes. While the attraction's name has changed several times over the decade, the guest-propelled canoes still give the same exciting river-level view as they did in the park's early years.

This figurine was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering artist Larry Nikolai and sculpted by Therea Miller. It was part of a series of land figurines and is based on Disneyland's Adventureland.
